FINALLY

Dear colleagues,

I am so pleased to announce a good news on behalf of Ms....

Ms. ... will finally get married on 16th, Feb.2007.
(die Formulierung finally ist nicht erfunden)

Wedding ceremony will take place as follows;

Date : 16th. Feb.2008
Time : 4 p.m.

The couple will spend their honeymoon in Boracay and their sweet home is decided in Ok-Su dong.

Let's give new bride a warm-hearted congratulation on this special occasion.

So mancher Leser wird sich jetzt sagen. „ finally sehr charmant“.

Hallo !!!! Aufwachen !!!!! Hier gibts was zu tun. In Deutschland haben wir eine Bundeskanzlerin. Da ist alles getan. Auf zu neuen Ufern.

Viele Gruesse

Euer Darling Man

Namdaemun Gate burns down in Seoul!

I swear I didn't do it!!! The number 1 National treasure in Korea Namdaemun Gate has burnt down. There understandably seems to be a sense of national mourning about. The iconic symbol of Seoul has burnt to the stone.

Do you see a difference?

The most wonderful trash

Thank God for wonderfully delicious, trashy English Television. I know we're probably behind in discovering Mile High but it is SOO good!! It is trash incarnate ! I have never seen so much trash in one single television program. It's a lifesaver here in Korea, the TV isn't SO great here and it would definitely help to know a little Korean. No hopes of that happening anytime soon, most difficult language i've had to learn so far. Enjoy

Brady the dog

Donnerstag, 7. Februar 2008

You may look but do not ever, ever touch!

Korea.... Culture Shock, perhaps, strange - interesting. Confusing.

We wanted (my darling man, Brady the dog and I) to go to a public park where we can have a walk in nature, which is so hard to find here.

Great idea... we set out, got to the park and then suddenly realized that everything is fenced off.. you can look at the forest but you may not enter it. There are designated paths where you have to walk, bordering around these paths are tall, 2 meter tall fences, which happen to be painted green, so they can blend with the forbidden nature.

We are just about to enter this public park (yes, there was an entrance fee) when a man tells us that we can't go inside with a dog - we tell the man kindly that we do not want to enter the palaces surrounding the park we just want to walk in it. The man says, "NO DOG IN PARK, YOU PAY AND YOU GO NOW" We asked the man if we can just walk in the "natural surroundings" - "NO DOG" "YOU LEAVE NOW"

So, my moral to the story... You may look but do not ever, ever touch and just forget about bringing a dog.

What we ended up doing is going to one of the only places we know where you can walk with your dog. My darling man always says that it's not that bad. I'm like, look around... it is that bad. But at least there's water nearby and the scenery is really quite beautiful...

Contrasts are bountiful.. which makes it beautiful.
